Drew Potenti

Drew turned 1 on July 13th so the following Sunday they had a birthday party for her at her house. All her friends and family came to celebrate.

Now that Spring is officially here.. and summer just around the corner.. Drew has been having a blast enjoying this wonderful weather. She even got to join the entire family up in Salisbury for the first big camping weekend - memorial weekend. There she got to help lead the first Glow Stick Parade :)

The construction is finally coming to a close! Here are some picture of the last finishing touches before the big move. There is still some stuff that needs to be done, but it's all small jobs that can be done soon without having to delay Drew from finally moving home.

Here you can see the progress of the hardwood flooring being installed. There are also some pictures of the lovely fireplace. Almost done!! Also you'll notice a count down til move in on the fridge markerboard. While the date is still quite tentative depending on how soon the construction can wrap up... it still means the move in day is very soon!!

The room is going full steam ahead! Now that most of the inspections (plumbing... electrical.. etc) have been finished, the construction seems to be moving at lightening speed! This album has picture of the walls going up, plastering, and even the paint! You won't be able to deny how amazing it looks!

During her long stay away from home, whether it was at UMass Memorial in Worcester or at the Boston Children's Hospital, you could always count on a flood of support from friends and family.

An impromptu baptism held at the Boston Children's Hospital. It was a bit of short notice but luckily some friends and family were able to head into the city to be there to congratulate. Baptism held October 1, 2007.

Sometimes a girl has just got to lay back and relax. And sometimes we need to capture that moment on camera. Here is a random assortment of the lovely lady just hanging out. No particular order.

Here the room is standing strong and is now starting to show off its beautiful windows and farmer's porch! The roof is completely done as well - a task that the boys worked very hard on despite the crazy weather we have been having. Photos taken December 9, 2007

These are just a random collection of pictures of Big Brother Dominic. It was nice to take him out to fun places before it got too cold to do certain things. P.S. He LOVES the slides. The framing for the roof finally arrived and the boys got to work! Despite the blistering cold and crazy winds they were able to do a wonderful job. They were certainly working long shifts to complete the work. Photos taken December 1, 2007

This album shows the big day when the walls finally got put up! There were so many guys working at the house and it was a good thing because there was so much to do! (even if you were just standing there holding up a wall haha) You can see from the pics that it was yet another day where the work went on for hours and they boys kept trucking away even in pitch black night. The majority of the excavating and foundation work are shown here. You can see the progress from the big gaping hole in their yard to a beautiful foundation fully made and ready for a beautiful bedroom to be built right on top. You can also see the support system in place for the soon-to-be farmer's porch. Dominic especially enjoyed watching from the side door near the kitchen as the excavators and cement trucks came and went. Photos taken November 8, 9, and 14 2007.

The beginning phases of the big dig... auburn style. The pictures are kinda dark... but that is what happens when I get called to take pics after sundown! I did my best to capture the chaos :) Most of these pictures show the boys ripping up what was once the porch attached to the side of the house. Essentially in one day they managed to rip off the roof, knock down all the walls, and tear up the floor... leaving just the foundation of the storage shed below and the skeletal remains of the floor.
